Immunity booster - Avocado Kale smoothie bowl

Its entirely customizable bowl full of nutrients. Basic idea is to make it little thick than a smoothie.

Today I just want to play with shades of green color as this is my son’s favorite color and for contrast I use chia seeds for black color and to have some texture and crunch.

Cardamom: This Spice is most common in Indian sweets and the Aroma is divine.

Mostly the day wont pass by without using this pod … we are so addicted to this spice and mostly it creeps into my morning Tea.

Nutritional values of ingredients.

Avocados

Avocado is loaded with monounsaturated fatty acids, the majority of the fat in avocado is oleic acid which acts as anti-inflammatory.

Moreover, avocados are

  • high in antioxidants,
  • including lutein and zeaxanthin. These nutrients are important for eye health
  • lowers risk of muscular degeneration and cataracts.

  • More potassium than bananas

  • helps to lower blood pressure

  • also lowers cholesterol and triglyceride levels

Chia seeds:

These tiny seeds are a powerful nutritious food.

Chia seeds are

  • gluten free
  • loaded with fiber
  • protein
  • omega – 3 fatty acids
  • micronutrients,
  • antioxidants
  • decent amount of zinc
  • potassium
  • vitamin B3(niacin), B1(thiamine) and B2.

Ingredients

  • Avacado:34
  • Milk: 1Cup
  • Cardamom seeds: 1teaspoon powdered optional
  • Maple Syrup 1 tablespoon

Toppings:

  • Chia seeds: 1teaspoon
  • Kale powder: 1teaspoon
  • Avacado: ¼ sliced

Instructions

In a blender or Mixer add all the ingredients and puree it. Adjust the consistency as per your liking. Pour into the clean bowl and add decorate the smoothie bowl with healthy toppings.

Recipe Notes

  • Notes: You can blend the kale powder along with avocado if you like it.
  • You can substitute Cardamom with Vanilla and for sweetness you can choose from date syrup or sugar instead of maple syrup.
  • Instead of milk, you can use any nut milk(almond) that you prefer.
  • Maple syrup: Better Alternative to Sugar without changing the taste or texture. Use 100% Organic maple syrup.
